AASCF are proud to partner with the Australian Government with their GIRLS MAKE YOUR MOVE campaign which is about inspiring, energising and empowering young women to be more active regardless of ethnicity, size or ability.
Why girls? Studies show that young women are twice as likely as boys to be inactive and that they experience more barriers preventing them from being as physically active.
The campaign was developed to address the lower level of physical activity and barriers faced by young Australian women.
AASCF were thrilled that the GMYM team saw All Star cheerleading as the perfect activity to encourage girls aged 12-19 years old to be more active, whether through recreation, sport or incidental physical activity.
